A selection of projects from the Animation Bootcamp course. This course focused on the core principles of animation, with each assignment exploring a specific concept. The design boards were created in collaboration with various artists and studios, allowing us to focus purely on animation.
A short story about skill being more important than tools. As the final project of the course, this piece combines all the animation principles we learned and applies them in a complete, narrative-driven animation.
Artboards to animate
A bumper animation for a show. This project focuses on animating at a lower frame rate to mimic a stop-motion style, creating a handcrafted and playful feel.
A project focused on eye trace. The challenge was to guide the viewer's attention smoothly through the animation, ensuring the eye flows naturally without sudden or distracting jumps.
Artboards to animate
A logo resolve animation based on three design boards. This project emphasizes continuity and flow, requiring seamless transitions between different designs while maintaining strong, consistent motion.
A project centered around secondary animation. The goal was to enhance a simple ping pong scene by adding subtle details and motion, making the interaction feel more dynamic and alive.
A Rube Goldberg-style animation focused on ball physics. This project explores how different objects move by using decay curves. Each ball (such as a ping pong ball and a bowling ball) behaves differently, helping create a more physically believable animation.
This work was created as homework assignments for the Animation Bootcamp course from School of Motion, Inc. The original concept and artboards for each project were provided by School of Motion as part of the curriculum.
All designs were created by various artists. School of Motion collaborated with these artists to develop all the assets and artboards.
